Providing strategic leadership, Michel LÉGER plays a significant role in positioning Ingenico in the new world of digital payments whatever the channels are. Under his direction, Ingenico is helping to grow the electronic payment market, creating new consumers experience that enhance the value propositions of Merchant and banks. In his 30-years career in the payment industry, Michel LÉGER has held varied international R&D, marketing, sales, operations, business development and general management positions around the world. Prior to his current role, he was the Executive Vice President at INGENICO in charge of Global Sales and Marketing. In his past career at Ingenico he was EVP R&D and Technology, Managing Director for the Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa region. Previously at GEMALTO he was CEO at NETSIZE a worldwide leader in the mobile payment industry and spent 6 years heading the world wide POS business. Michel LÉGER was involved in the early stage of development of the smart card technology at Schlumberger Axalto and Gemalto developing smart- businesses in the area of telecommunication, electronic payment parking and transportation. Michel LÉGER is a member of Ingenico Executive Committee. Michel LÉGER holds a master degree from the National Institute of Applied Science with major in Telecommunication.
