In that first year alone, he helped the company achieve a record-breaking seed round, structure for significant growth and brought industry heavyweights to the Nuritas™ Board. Emmet has 25 years of senior leadership experience within some of the world’s largest life science companies. Prior to Nuritas™, Emmet was President of Europe and the Pacific Rim at Pfizer, developing and driving international expansion strategies and played an essential role in the shaping of Pfizer Nutrition. He also played a key role within the Pfizer Nutrition core leadership team in preparation for and delivering the successful divestment to Nestlé for $11.85 billion in 2012 in one of the year’s largest healthcare transactions. Following this transaction, he became the President of Transition and Integration, driving the integration of the new business into Nestle. Emmet was also the Managing Director of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Ireland where he transformed the organisation into a market-leading company, deliveringmany global launch firsts, eventually creating the highest performing affiliate worldwide for three years running until Pfizer’s takeover in 2009. Throughout his 25-year-long experience of taking a broad range of pharmaceutical/nutritional products to market, Emmet became acutely aware of the need for change and for new ways of innovating in the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries. Upon meeting Dr Nora Khaldi, Founder of Nuritas™, Emmet immediately recognised in her exceptional and novel bioinformatics approach to discovering peptide ingredients, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to revolutionise the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries.
