Mycronic AB is listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, Mid Cap. Lena has been working at Mycronic since July 2013. Since 2013 Mycronic’s sales have increased x3, EBIT margin x10 and market cap x7. Before Mycronic, she worked at Saab AB, a Defence and Security company listed on Nasdaq, Large Cap, where she began as EVP and Chairman of Business Area Systems & Products in 2008 and continued as Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer in January 2010. Her earlier career also includes various positions within Volvo Car Corporation, in total 25 years, of which 5 years as President of Volvo Cars Asia Pacific and 7 years in the Executive Management Team. During 4 years in the early 1990’s she was Managing Director of Samhall Högland AB. Lena is a board member of Investment AB Latour, Munters Group AB, the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries (Teknikföretagen), the Swedish Corporate Governance Board (Kollegiet för svensk bolagsstyrning) and IVA’s Business Executives Council (IVA Näringslivsråd). In addition Lena has served as a member of the Board at Alfa Laval AB, Sweden (2002-2006). Gunnebo AB, Sweden (2004-2010), Norsk Hydro A/S, Norway, (2006-2008), Novozymes A/S Denmark (2010-2015) (all public listed), and Green Cargo AB, Sweden (2008-2011), SJ AB (2011-2015), Sweden. Lena is also elected a member of IVA, Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. She holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers in Gothenburg, Sweden. She was named “Swedish business most powerful woman of the year” 2010 by the Swedish weekly business magazine, Veckans Affärer. In 2013 she received Gabrielsen’s Award awarded to the best female candidate to become chairman of the Board in a large company, listed or unlisted. In January 2018, Lena Olving was presented H.M. The King’s Medal of the 12th size with blue ribbon for outstanding efforts within Swedish business sector. H.M. The King’s Medal (1850s) is presented to Swedish and foreign citizens for special merit and to officials of the Royal Court for long and faithful service.
