Starting her career in banking, Sue’s ambition, warmth and eye for detail has resulted in an impressive CV of business development and leadership roles in both finance and technology. In 2010 Sue became CEO of Finance Birmingham, the venture capital arm of Birmingham City Council providing investment to local SMEs with limited access to mainstream lending. She led the business from a business loan fund of £10million to managing a portfolio of flexible investment programmes worth circa £720million, just 8 years on. Building on this success, Frontier Development Capital (FDC) launched in late 2016 as a natural geographical extension of Finance Birmingham.
