Emilio Petrone Mooney S.p.A. Miklós Palencsár Mentors & Partners Group Nicole Heimann & Marina Cvetkovic Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners AG Edwin Bessant Ceuta Group 6 10 12 16 FEATURED WINNERS

CEO Today Europe Award s 2022 - ITALY - - 6 - milio Petrone is the CEO of Mooney – the leading Italian financial services company that offers Proximity Banking & Payment solutions. Mr Petrone has an Economics Degree from the Università degli Studi di Salerno and a Master’s in Business Administration, as well as an impressive career in retail, entertainment and financial services. He’s worked for Ferrero, Sara Lee Petrone E Emilio CEO of Mooney Corporation and Unilever, holding increasingly senior positions. He joined Mattel Corporation as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Italy in 2001, progressing up to Senior Vice President, and then to Managing Director SEEMEA Region. In June 2008, Petrone joined Sisal Group as Chief Executive Officer, leading the company through innovation and diversification, tripling its turnover and significantly improving its profitability. If you want the moon, ask us for it. Under his leadership, Sisal Group became one of the leading Italian private companies with about 2,000 employees and a turnover of over €19 billion. After founding and developing SisalPay, the Group’s payments division, in December 2019, Emilio Petrone led the creation of Mooney - the first Italian Proximity Banking & Payments company, following the agreement between SisalPay and Banca 5 (Intesa Sanpaolo Group).

What is the story of Mooney? When I joined Sisal Group back in 2008, we were mainly focused on the lottery business. However, I was really interested in diversifying the company’s services. Back then, the FinTech and payments market sounded very promising, so we decided to enter the field as the next logical step for the Group. We saw very impressive interest as soon as we launched our payments offerings – it seemed as though consumers have been waiting for a company like ours to join the marketplace and help them to gain access to the proximity payments network. Thanks to the booming success we saw, we focused our attention on the new division of the company. The steady growth resulted in splitting the lottery business from what we called SisalPay, which eventually led to the launch of Mooney in 2019 as a merger between SisalPay and Banca 5 of Intesa Sanpaolo. We combined SisalPay’s strong payments capabilities with Banca 5’s excellent banking presence and by merging the two companies, we created a leader in the Italian market. With Mooney, we currently offer a huge portfolio of products, including payment services, cards and banking in a convenient and easy-to-navigate way. We’re a multichannel company with a very diverse portfolio of services and our customers appreciate the seamlessness and efficiency of our offerings. Today, Mooney is part of the Italian lifestyle, providing easy access to payments, banking and mobility services. What are your goals for the future of the company? Our aim is to continue growing and expanding the portfolio of the products we offer, integrating our ESG strategy. In July 2022, Mooney was jointly acquired by Enel and Intesa Sanpaolo, which will create further opportunities for future expansion. The immediate plan is to continue developing our CEO Today Europe Award s 2022 - ITALY - - 8 - We started Mooney from scratch and are now an undisputed leader in the proximity payments and banking markets.

mobility segment of the business and look into entering additional new markets too. What are your aspirations for the future as the CEO of Mooney? I am extremely happy with how everything’s worked out for Mooney and with the fact that we were recently acquired by two of the top Italian international companies. We started Mooney from scratch and are now an undisputed leader in the proximity banking & payments markets. I’m so excited about all the brand-new opportunities ahead of us thanks to our new shareholders. The future is certainly looking bright and we’re looking forward to expanding within and outside of Italy in the coming years. What does this award mean to you and your team? Considering the recent acquisition and all the hard work that’s gone into it and goes into the company daily, it is important for all of us to take the time to celebrate. The acknowledgement that we’ve received means that we are on the right track and have managed to create something relevant and special. At the same time, our main priority will always remain our customers’ satisfaction with Mooney and I’m so proud to see that they continue to enjoy our products. CEO & Co-Founder of Mentors & Partners Group Mentors & Partners Group Ltd. www.mentorsandpartners.com Miklós Palencsár CEO Today Europe Award s 2022 - HUNGARY - - 10 -

Miklós Palencsár is the CEO and co-founder of Mentors & Partners Group. MPG is a world-leading mentoring company in business and sports. They have a special methodology for developing organisations and teams, including multinationals, international sports clubs, and domestic companies expanding internationally. They also have excellent results in sports, where they work with national teams, club teams, and youth academies by creating complex mental preparation and performance processes so they can better reach their goals. In Tokyo alone, the athletes and teams whom they prepared and supported with their complex programmes won four gold medals, two silvers, and four bronzes, but they have also had many successes in Champions Leagues across various sports. That is why MPG has been Europe’s fastestgrowing business development firm in Europe over the last four years, according to the Financial Times’ FT1000 List. The key to the firm’s success is their mentoring methodology. Mentoring is a unique development programme that provides comprehensive support to individuals, teams, and organisations so they can use all their skills, qualities, and opportunities to maximise performance and reach their best result. People can live their happiest lives because they can be themselves; they do not need to act and change because of the outside expectations. The firm’s approach requires close, personal connections with top decision-makers, with whom mentors form long-term partnerships. Those decision-makers – be them head coaches, CEOs, country managers, start-up owners, team captains, etc. – are often very lonely at the top. The role of the mentor is to provide the mentee with the guidance needed to make the best possible decision in whatever situation or crisis might arise. With strong leadership at the top, the organisation – be it a SME, multinational, club team, or national team – is better primed for success. At a broader level, MPG’s organisational development focuses on giving people confidence to accept and show who they really are, and teach organisations to understand and accept each other, which fosters real diversity. For that, they create a perfect honest atmosphere. The method also gives people in the organisation an ownership mindset, turning the organisation’s teams into winning teams, and developing the organisation to simultaneously promote the company’s goals and the happiness of its members. The professional backbone of MPG’s organisational development programmes is the RISE Human Development System, the world’s most in-depth and complex personality and behavioural analysis system, with a methodology that interprets individual generations and social processes. Organisational development is the transformation of an organisation’s mindset, including its strategic planning, and translating this strategy into concrete organisational and operational work. It involves defining the organisation’s structure in relation to its organisational goals, breaking things down to the position level, and assigning expectations in terms of both hard and soft skills. It necessitates monitoring the organisation, defining potential development and risk points, and then managing them. Overall, modern organisational development combines broad strategy with specific implementation tasks. MPG provides complex and continuous support to their partners in the creation, management, and development of a happy organisation capable of achieving its goals. Finally, MPG’s management development programmes go far beyond traditional management training, as their unique content is tailored to the company and adapted to current social and generational processes. Each programme does not speak in general terms about leadership development and leadership skills, but focuses specifically on the company’s particular challenges based on its economic environment, location, and sector. In addition to the content, the dynamics and design of the programme play a key role in ensuring that the deep content is easy to convey and understand, and the content is delivered via training days, interactive workshops, follow-up reports, and one-on-one discussions. Nicole Heimann Marina Cvetkovic Co-owners and Co-CEOs of Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners AG - 12 - CEO Today Europe Award s 2022 - SWITZERLAND - BUSINESS COACHING LEADER OF YEAR

arina and Nicole, Co- CEOs of an award-winning executive advisory firm Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners, believe that the culture of every organisation starts at the top and should therefore be a matter of highest strategic importance. They work with boards, CEOs, and executive teams to build strong and authentic Leadership Alliances, setting them apart from traditional top-to-bottom coaching programs. They encourage each of their clients’ boards, CEOs and executive teams to work together by forming an authentic, intentional, and committed relationship. In order to do so, they urge leaders to connect five driving forces: a compelling vision, a shared purpose, a shared mindset, Leadership Alliance behaviours and how they work together. “In order to create a healthy and safe culture, it’s important that the Leadership Alliance encompasses all five of these driving forces, constantly reinforcing them as necessary in order to keep the alignment in the top team,” Nicole says. “Just because a senior leadership team or a board is a collection of highly successful individuals – it does not mean this will be a highly effective team. True leadership alliance that unlocks tremendous value for the company long term is something that does not just happen organically – no matter how successful the individual leaders that make the team are”, Marina adds. The role of the board has changed significantly over the past decade and even more so over the past year. Increasingly, boards are asked and challenged to be a true strategic asset EXTRAORDINARY BOTTOM-LINE IMPACT STARTSWITHAN EXTRAORDINARY TOP TEAM Driving Triple Bottom Line Through Strong Board andManagement Leadership Alliances to organisations, moving past the outdated mandate rooted purely in governance and oversight. This poses a question: What is the optimal way in which management teams and boards should work together going forward to successfully master the emerging business challenges? “Most leadership teams and boards we work with would agree with the vision of creating a true partnership, however, almost all of them struggle with how to do that,” Marina explains. This is why their company, Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners, focuses on helping boards and management teams across the globe create strong leadership alliances. ‘It takes a high collective awareness to build a true leadership alliance and unfortunately, seniority and success are not indicators that one’s self-awareness is at a peak,” Nicole shared with us. “A - 13 - CEO Today Europe Award s 2022 - SWITZERLAND -

true leadership alliance presents a strong platform from which a board and management team can tackle all the business challenges much more effectively together”, explains Marina. “What makes our concept different, is how holistic it is. We don’t just focus only on the vision, or team norms, or culture. We look at all of those factors holistically, help a management team identify where they are today vs. where they would like to be, and then take them on that journey as their sparring partners. Our Leadership Alliance Culture signature concept for accelerating performance and alignment in top teams has been endorsed by Alan Mullaly, the former CEO of Ford Motors Company, and many other C-suite members across the globe,” Nicole added. In addition to executive coaching and team-journey work with senior leaders, we have noticed that Marina and Nicole have a busy keynote speaking agenda. “Every leadership team is different, and we do our best to meet them where they are. That is the only way to take them where they want to go. Not every team is ready for an intervention or a team coaching journey – but they may be curious to hear us share some of the best practices we have observed in other boards and management teams”, Nicole explains. “Keynotes create awareness and creating awareness is essentially opening the door to transformation” Marina adds. For Marina and Nicole, keynotes are often a beginning of a long-term strategic partnership with clients. We were of course very curious to understand – are Nicole and Marina walking the talk in the way they lead their own company? Marina explained, “Walking the talk is very important to Nicole and me– as we are advocates of stronger leadership alliances at the top, we of course have a leadership alliance of our own, reflected in the Co-CEO title, which we both share. We share the same mission and vision about the impact we strive to have on the executives and leadership teams we work with. On that journey, we not only fully respect each other’s differences and freedom, but we strive to actively leverage them for the benefit of our alliance and in the interest of allowing each other to stay in our individual “Zone of Genius”. “Last but not least – our leadership alliance is only successful because we can rise above the ego and fully allow the magical co-creative process together to evolve for the benefit of our clients and the higher purpose, we both care about. We support each other’s values, love each other’s differences and allow each other to grow and flourish more every day. That might mean that one of us takes the stage and the other one stays backstage at times – and we are perfectly fine with that!” Nicole added. CEO Today Europe Award s 2022 - SWITZERLAND - - 14 -

About Marina Cvetkovic and Nicole Heimann Nicole Heimann and Marina Cvetkovic are the co-owners and coCEOs of Heimann Cvetkovic & Partners AG – a boutique executive advisory firm of the world’s leading experts in leadership alliances and awarded last year with the CEO Today Europe Award in the category “outstanding leadership, vision and entrepreneurship” and the Global Excellence Award as the Best Executive Coaching & Advisory Firm in Switzerland for 2021. Their work focuses on supporting boards, executives and top teams in creating and strengthening leadership alliances among themselves as well as across the organisation in order to unleash its full performance potential. The leadership alliance program is a transformational journey that good top teams commit to in order to become great. It is a journey that elevates not only their team effectiveness but has also proven to accelerate business performance. Marina and Nicole’s philosophy is that investing in top team leadership development should be the starting point in the effort to transform and align any organisation. In the current environment when resources are tight and business goals ambitious, it is essential to mobilise all its forces in one direction. Top team leadership development also offers the highest multiplier and return on investment – helping a top team get even only 10% better has a tremendous ripple effect on the organisation and is one of the most critical elements within a broader culture transformation effort. Your Personal Board of Directors. Leadership Advice from the World’s Greatest Coaches, edited by Jonathan Passmore, Brian Underhill, Marshall Goldsmith. (2022, John Wiley & Sons Ltd.) Marina is a multi-award-winning CEO Coach and Board Adviser, supporting boards, executives and top teams on the journey to extraordinary leadership and legacy. She has personally advised and coached hundreds of executives across the globe. Marina is a sought-after keynote speaker on boardroom-related topics as well as a TEDx speaker and founder of TEDx in NYC.
